About the book
A story about Layla and Lizzy, two Golden Retriever sisters from San Diego. With her big sister Layla by her side, little Lizzy learns to try new things, discover the world around her, and believe in herself. Meet the Authors
Meet Malavika and Nivedita, sisters who adore dogs. Malavika is a full-time dog mom, and proudly so. She bid goodbye to the corporate world, and made traveling and spending time with her dogs a priority. A former corporate lawyer turned HR professional, Nivedita now calls New England home, enjoying its changing seasons, creative pursuits, and life with her own pup Rory, while celebrating her sister's pups who inspired this story. Layla and Lizzy spread happiness and smiles everywhere they go, and their joyful adventures encouraged the sisters to share their story with a wider audience through a children's book based on their real life experiences.
Meet the Illustrator
Nikhila Anil is an illustrator and visual storyteller from India. She creates illustrations for children’s books and explores a wide range of subjects, often finding her way back to nature, animals and the curious, unexpected things in the world around us. Her work is guided by a deep curiosity about the world and a love for stories. Her illustrations invite us to look a little closer, wonder a little longer, and perhaps see the world differently.
